On Thursday, March 22, 2012, Dr. Vince Kaminski will present a research seminar entitled ?Credit Risk Management Past Dodd-Frank and MF Global?.?? The seminar will take place in the Graduate Office Conference Room from 3:30-5 p.m. that day.
Dr. Kaminski has had a long and distinguished career in both academia and the private sector.? He currently holds a faculty appointment at Rice University?s Jones Graduate School of Business.? He has also held important research-related positions with Enron, Salomon Brothers, Citigroup, and various other firms.? His expertise is in the area of?financial risk management, a topic that he has written extensively about; e.g., see his book entitled Energy Modelling: Advances in the Management of Uncertainty.
At your option, you may earn extra credit by attending Dr. Kaminski?s seminar and emailing a 1-2 page critical essay about the seminar to risk@garven.com by no later than Monday, March 26 at 5 p.m.?
